East Coast Tour and album update

We’re going to the east coast to finally do a tour! Dates are still being settled, but we booked our flights from March 23-April 1st. We’re also bringing along Alex Hwang of Monsters Calling Home to open up for us. So stay tuned for the details.

For the album, we’re diligently working on it and we are 4/5 done with tracking. After tracking, we’re going straight to mixing, and hopefully the CDs will be done early to mid March. We’ll be sending it out to our kickstarter providers first, along with their gifts/rewards. Thank you once again for all the support.

We are truly humbled by the support we’ve received in the last four years of our band’s existence. Support = words of affirmation and/or money via donations, merch sales, etc. If you liked our first album, I promise you that you will like this album. If you didn’t like our first album, I promise you that you will like this album.

Recording Phase I

Last night, we began recording our upcoming album The Morning Came To Me with producer, Chad Bamford. But more importantly John came to the session with a throwback haircut from the korean pride 1990s.

Healing

This past weekend at Young Nak’s Journey retreat, I’ve received healing in my left hand. Right above my risk on the back of my hand, I have some nerve pain that kept bothering me when I lifted things. Thank God it didn’t affect my drumming. The guest speaker, Pastor Joe was talking to Mike, and Mike told me that he was super charismatic (healing, prophesy, yada yada yada). I asked him to pray for my hand. I tried doing the lifting motion with the stage, and pain came through my hand. We prayed one more time, and this time, my nerve pain disappeared! It’s been a week, and the pain is still gone. Praise God. Just wanted to share it with you all.

I Fell in Love Lyrics

I Fell in Love
Michael Whang (2004)

Saw on the movie screen husband and wife
Hollywood made it seem it’d be so easy to get it right
I never dreamed romantic mysteries for my life
I’ve never been one to believe in love at first sight
Till I saw Your eyes
Ablaze with fire

You saw me first with Your heavenly gaze
Your voice sweet and thunderous like the ocean’s mighty waves
Your countenance spoke stories of Holy Jealousy
How for so many years You had been yearning to meet with me
And You danced with me
By Your streams of peace

And I fell in love
With the One for forever I’d been dreaming of.
You won my heart
Not with flowers or diamonds but with Your precious blood

See Him there blood running down His face, water by His side
His flesh ripped apart, His heart torn up on the inside
How gruesome, how ugly, how lovely is our love scene
Where I kiss His feet
He was pierced for me
And my iniquity

I’m so in love…
With Jesus

I love the way You talk to me, I love the way You hold me close
When I’m with You I feel like I could fly
I love the way You hold my, I love the way that we relax
When I’m with You I always feel the sun rise
I love the way You share Your secrets, You whisper in my ear
I love the way You bring me close, my heart overflows in tears

“I’m excited”

I’m excited for what is going to happen in the next month or two. We’re going to go in for finishing our second record. This time around, I plan on being more detailed with my drumming. Especially on the production side. Usually, I let the producer/mixer/engineer do whatever they want to do. I usually focus on how my drums sound before it hits the boards. This time around, I’m going to try out different things. And they’ll all be listed in our liner notes.

Also, for the past couple of months, our buddy, Tae Kim, has filmed and editted the videos that you see on youtube. So we personally would like to give a big shout out for that. With minimal gear, he’s allowed to do whatever he wants, and I think he’s done a good job.

Just can’t wait til we get in the studio. But before I get in there, I need to tighten up my parts. Must be over prepared. -johnCHONG
